Brussels prepares to host new humanitarian aid event

With the onslaught of natural disasters and political crises over the last year, plus an increased scrutiny of foreign aid budgets, humanitarian aid charities and NGOs are under pressure to produce their most effective deployment of budgets to date.
From 19 – 20 October 2011, new event AidEx aims to address these challenges, providing professionals from within the industry with a unique platform to engage directly with suppliers from a range of a sectors including food and clothing, energy, logistics, security, transport and IT. It is the only humanitarian aid event of its kind in Europe.
There will be over 200 key suppliers of emergency and relief products representing their field at the event, including Barrett Europe Ltd, Toyota Gibraltar Stockholdings and the UN World Food Programme. In addition, the show will include an extensive educational conference, demonstrations and workshops, along with a range of other features designed to enhance visitors knowledge of humanitarian aid.
