As a member, you will receive quarterly issues of the Humanitarian Exchange magazine which provides articles on current humanitarian policy and practice, including one feature topic per issue. Accompanying Network Papers provide a more in-depth critical review of a specific theme, sectoral topic or programming approach. Members can also join the current debates on online exchange – the online space for dialogue on issues of current humanitarian concern – and respond to recent HPN articles. In addition, you will receive invitations to occasional seminars and workshops and be entitled to a 15% reduction on the annual subscription to Disasters, the leading peer-reviewed journal in the field of complex emergencies and natural disasters.

By signing up to HPN, you will join an independent forum for improving humanitarian action and get access to leading features and analysis of humanitarian policy and practice. HPN enables field workers, managers and policymakers in the humanitarian sector to share information, analysis and experience. HPN’s 5,500 members are based in over 80 countries around the world, working for national and international NGOs, the Red Cross, UN agencies, governments and donors, universities and as independent consultants. The only network of its kind, HPN plays a key role in examining policy development and disseminating practice to this global community.
